Of everything in this portfolio this is the smallest item, and possibly the most telling. On his own, without anyone asking, he began reading the numbers on car license plates.
It is the same instinct that shows up in his test results — 100/100 on a logic-and-pattern assessment, full marks on this year’s maths test. Numbers are not homework to him; they are something he goes looking for.
